Not sure why Dr. Dre could even be considered as the unnamed artist based on the available information. The artist feels there are compensation issues with streaming. As in, it doesn't pay enough. Dr Dre starting a streaming service all but eliminates him as a possibility, since he wouldn't trash his own product, and if Detox was an online only release, the one place it would definitely be is his own streaming media company.

The Apple deal only reinforces this. Why would they specifically say it was an iTunes only album? Not for streaming, at least not now? If it was Detox, that would be the perfect promotion for their newly acquired Beats Music service. So...yeah, this is definitely something else.

there's no way it's gaga. she took her latest shit in america's ears back in november and it flopped hard with both critics and sales. we probably won't have to hear from her for at least another year or two. hopefully never if we're lucky.

There's a possibility it's Gaga. She's already said there's an Artpop follow-up and it could be out soon.
