One of the best left-backs of his generation.

Baines is a better all-round left back, but when it's comes to defensive duties, I feel Cole still has the edge. Although Azpilicueta has been selected ahead of him this season, Cole put in a fantastic performance when he was called upon for the Atletico game. He was great against Liverpool, too.

Best of luck to Shaw though, he's done well to get his chance.

Naturally I'm just disappointed for Cole.
