@Horse
Bruh, he feels like everybody's picking on him.
I remember when you used to make extremely silly statements too, and nobody (except me, but I'm a known asshole) picked on you for it.
So please, just lay off my nicca Brainless for a bit until he gets a little more polish, which would come as his post count increases.

Menzo wrote:"Brainless", as fun as it is, is probably one of his most 'generic' songs.
:shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead: How is it generic? It's far from generic. You cannot listen to that song, especially the first 2 verses, and say that it's generic. Brainless is a classic song on some SSLP shit. c'mon

When he writes shit like

I walk around like a space cadet, place your bets
Who's likely to become a serial killer, case of Tourettes
Fuck, fuck-fuck, can't take the stress
I make a mess as the day progresses
Angry and take it out on the neighbors hedges
Like this is how I'll cut your face up bitches
With these hedge trimming scissors with razor edges

or...

Take some inventory
In this gourd there's a Ford engine, door hinge, syringe, an orange, an extension cord, and a Ninja sword, not to mention four linchpins an astringent stored
Ironing board, a bench, a wrench an ore, winch, an attention whore

It's a classic song. Maybe not as good as Criminal but still.
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again?
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line

Like I'm locked up inside a shot up Bonnie and Clyde car
Uncle Ronnie is driving, 'bout to burst in through the side door
Of Arkham Asylum and park in the dining room

The reason why I don't like Renegade as much as people do and why I like Bad Guy more is because of Jay's delivery. His flow is amazing on a shitload of songs but it sounded uninspired and lazy to me on this one. Not taking anything away from the lyrics. Just the delivery is lacking for me here.

Lord...

It seems like everyone here nowadays associates the word 'classic' with something they like, as if there is no inbetween from 'hate it' to 'classic', wow.

It's a good, fun song but it's faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from a classic. It sounds like it could just be a Westwood freestyle.

I don't call everything a classic. I just think that this song in particular is classic worthy

Bad Guy - Classic
Rhyme or Reason - Potential Classic
So Much Better - Amazing, but not classic
Survival - Great, but not classic
Legacy - Amazing but not classic
Asshole - Great, but not classic
Berzerk - good, but not classic
Rap God - Potential Classic
Brainless - Classic
Stronger Than I Was - Good, but not a classic
The Monster - Great, but not classic
So Far... - Potential classic
Love Game - Potential classic
Headlights - Classic
Evil Twin - Classic
Baby - Potential classic
Desperation - Great, but not a classic
Groundhog Day - Potential classic
Beautiful Pain - Great, but not classic
Wicked Ways - Great, but not classic

In fact, I clearly remember people on this forum praising Brainless once the album leaked. Now people are nit-picking like there's no tomorrow. "waah, Em said he's bananas because he appeals" "wah, Em said he's blind Superman because he had no SUPERVISION as a child"

Now people are nit-picking on Bad Guy just cuz he fucking split the word "existed". This happens every single time Em releases something, people praise it, and then say which songs they consider classics, then a month or two later, they nit-pick it and bash on it and look at the negative parts of the album. Yes, there are people who throw around the word "classic" like nobody's business, but at the same time, there are people who can't get out of the past & admit that Em can release classic material nowadays, so they just say that nothing Em does is on the caliber of his early days, when clearly Em still has it in him and has used it.

Okay, that's fine. I'm just wondering what's so generic about it? It's almost exactly like Brain Damage, memories of bullying, mixed with fictional dark details. Brain Damage wasn't generic, so...
