Professional battle rappers (the very few who actually get paid enough to live off it, and I'm assuming Hollow Da Don is one of them since he's one of the most popular URL rappers) sit around and think of punchlines all day. It's all these guys do. Name flips, associative wordplay schemes, everything.

It's to the point that almost every second bar is going to get a reaction because it has some kind of wordplay or other element to it. They've memorized so much back-up/generic material over the years that it's almost impossible for them to choke since they can just fall back on an 8 bar scheme they've got locked away if they freeze up on their writtens.

Meanwhile, the Slaughterhouse guys tour and make albums for a living. Far less time was spent building up a library of battle rap punchlines, and most of their battle rap punchlines were probably used on tracks already. Joe Budden might struggle writing and memorizing 15+ minutes of material.

Having said that, if Joe Budden doesn't choke, he's going to win. The crowd will react to his bars more loudly regardless of the quality since he has a much larger fanbase.

Does anyone think Joe Buddens voice will not help him at all while battling? Most of these battlers almost scream at the top of their lungs to get a reaction, cant see Joe going 15 minutes out loud when he has cigaretee voice.
