Gna watch Before Midnight again this week sometime. So gr8.

Class and Prez, get on this shit.

Those are my favorite movies ever. Good to see they get some love here. Noone of my circle knows them.

I must say Before Midnight disappointed me a bit.

I actually kinda dislike the movie tbh, but I'm a massive fanboy of the comic and it's probably my favorite story other than nausicaa (also a great graphic novel). I told class to read it since he likes superhero films, I do too and don't really care for superhero comics tbh.

I thought malin akerman was horrible to be quite frank, and alot of the movie completely missed the point of what made watchmen great. Which was ordinary vigilantes fighting crime yet were given fucking superhuman strength with kicks and blows that can kill rhinos. It really took the human element out of it and made them no different than spiderman, hell they were practically superhuman. It should have had the gritty realism of Taxi driver. Also the music choices were pretty embarrassingly cliche and at times horrid and unfitting (that hallelujah song during the sex scene had me in stitches). I personally would have rather they made a completely different adaptation like apocalypse now or something since it's just literally unfimable. It was made to be a comic (hell even the pirate comic stresses this) and had so many comic book only techniques (the symmetrical chapter anyone) and visual puns that made it a massive mosaic of imagery but felt awkward and almost pretentious in movie format. To be frank we needed someone of Stanley kubrick's talent to direct watchmen and give it justice.

Last movie was about a young vampire that meets a kid and they become friends and such. Pretty cool. I saw God Bless America and it was enjoyable. I watched Blue is the Warmest Color and thought it was a disaster. Hated every second of that turd. Rewatched The Shining and liked it, but it was a shitty torrent and was laggy, which kind of fucked the zooms (?). Watched Blue Velvet and thought it was pretty slick, the scene with the lady dancing on the car was sweet. Saw lost in translation and didn't care for it too much, but was still alright. Saw the last life in the universe (some Japanese movie) and it was pretty dope. And yeah, roger Ebert, dueces.
