YEP. Apparently, Kendrick had visited Africa and the spirit of the mother land spoke to him when he was there. This caused him to write a song that he felt Stevie Wonder should be on. Seems like Kendrick has a good relationship to Doug E. Fresh, one of the official legends of the Hip-Hop game. Doug got Kendrick in touch with Stevie Wonder and the rest is history. This song is expected to appear on the next Kendrick Lamar album

Hopefully this doesn't end up being like Kurtis blow's album which sounded AMAZING on paper (it had fucking Bob Dylan and a younger george clinton) but yeah. Doubt it'll be anywhere near bad, lol. But I just can't see all these old legends on rap albums without thinking it'll be a trainwreck.

& Nah as a rapper he's a million times better obv, I was just comparing the whole having these guys as walking advertisements when if not used properly it'll end up sucking. Also reminds me of lou reed making with a song with gorillaz or album with metallica which sucked donkey balls. I'm always skeptical when old legends feel the need to collab with younger hip artists even if the hips artists are great.

One of things I really respect about Kendrick is the amount of work he puts into making a structured album - not even talking about GKMC necessarily - but making it feel like an experience when you listen.
