Thought this thread was retarded in the first place as there are already a bunch of threads discussing C5 and his other projects....

Oh, that's correct. I think it's okay to at least keep this forum active. Weezy is someone that can cause pages of discussion, but this just turned to shit. I'm also not really doing any favours by getting worked up over stupid shit.

Same. When I was a bit younger, I hated a lot of the new rappers coming out. I just listened to Eminem 24/7. I think what really grabbed my attention about Lil Wayne was his voice. I didn't like it. I tried getting into his stuff because some of my friends were bumping that 2008 shit and it was kinda hit and miss. I found a few songs I liked and that was it.

I respect people's opinions and all that. I won't kill you if you hate Weezy. I don't really care. Music is music.

Out.

Lil Wayne in his prime is just one of the most entertaining rappers to listen too, plus i used to stan him a lot harder since he was one of the first rappers I really got into. I honestly don't see how people can dog on him yet turn around praise rappers like Ghostface or MF DOOM when he can be just as abstracts with his freeassociative non sequiters and his lyrics are laden with pop culture references (well this was mostly in Da Drought 3).

I don't care about most of his material post CIII though and don't care for CIII either and considered a pretty big disappointment at the time, though I warmed up to it. Also I should note that I still think MF DOOM & Ghostface are better (by quite a bit) but despite that I still spin his three album-mixtape prime run almost everyday.
