Kendrick hasn't released anything that made me go "This is shit." yet. I doubt he will.

Yeah, low chance this album is shit. Even Kendrick's throwaway verses he's done on other rappers songs have been solid. But, as the poster above me said, I feel like Kendrick needs some high energy songs. He's great at mellow songs and shit like that, but it would be awesome if he pumped out some bangers for this album.

Do you think he will use a concept again guys?

I feel like a GKMC 2 with him being the good kid as a artist with good intentions and the mad city bing the music industry would be goat. He could do that after a while though, doesn't need to be his sophomore

Ps: if someone snatches this post and make a thread out of this, you know you heard it first with Shuttle Destroyer

doubt it, he said his songs will be darker and that he wants to make an album with the old west coast sound... I really expect him to make something different (again)

He doesn’t divulge much more about a follow-up, except that he wants to work with the legendary Compton rapper and producer DJ Quik to “bring that original sound that people have been missing from the West Coast for a while,” and that he’s not stressed about expectations.

http://www.nowtoronto.com/music/story.c ... ent=193790

and all the confirmed & rumoured producers are from the West Coast... Dj Dahi, THC, Terrace Martin, Scoop Deville, (Alchemist ?, Warren G ? , Dj Quik ?, Dr Dre ?)

and it looks like Scoop Deville has more than a few beats on that album Image

I do hope that he sorta chills out with his delivery a bit, I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed he's been getting pretty gruff recently. I was listening to We Up and it feels like he hasn't just rapped chilled out like that for a while to me.

Anyways can't wait.

Yeah, his delivery is getting more grizzly which I like tbh, but also a delivery like his BET cypher is really good.

loved the cypher :flutter:

I feel like a darker album is gonna do for me as well & I like Kendrick's more grizzly delivery as of late too. :y:
