Did you like Rise? I loved it, and yet I still found Dawn to be surprisingly better. I can't imagine what we're in stores for when the third one comes around. :worship:

i didn't love Rise but i thought it was reasonably entertaining. Dawn looks a lot better and it was directed by the guy who did Let Me In, which is underrated as fuck. i recently bought the box set of the five original Apes movies. i need to watch those sometime.

Dude, fucking co-sign Matt Reeves. Let Me In was dope, I'm torn on that and Let the Right One In, though I am inclined to side with the remake just because both are pretty great and that one's a bit more accessible. But his homerun, imo, was Cloverfield. That's like a top five movie for me haha.

Definitely. He's awesome in most of what he does. Hurt Locker, Dahmer, Bourne, Louie.

I recall watching that with my mom.

Definitely not a film you want to watch with your mom.

Great movie. I put it up there with Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse Now, Platoon, and Black Hawk Down for best war movies.

I like how the story follows bomb disposal soldiers as it's something that has never really been explored before, it adds a great element of suspense to it.

The last scene when he's speaking to his son.... damn.

Pretty cool movie :y:
