NYC rhymesayer AWKWORD has come together with The DJBooth and The Morgan Stanley Foundation to bring listeners his long awaited studio album, World View.
Five years in the making, the LP has been described by the artist as "the first-ever 100% for-charity global hip-hop project." All proceeds from its sale will go to Guns 4 Cameras, a 501c3 nonprofit working to eradicate gun violence. The 19-track set comes heralded by singles "Gas Land," "Requiem," "Bars & Hooks," "Notorious," "Melting Pot (Made in America)," "Throw Away the Key," "Go!," "Radio 2.0," "Metal Music" and "Doctor Doctor."
World View's impressive slate of beatsmiths and collaborators includes representatives of eight countries across five continents. Chaundon, Joell Ortiz, KRS-One, REKS, Sean Price and Slug (of Atmosphere) are just a few of many guest vocalists on the project, which features beats by the likes of Amin PaYnE, Dismas, Dominant1, Domingo, Harry Fraud, Numonics and Steel Tipped Dove.

After Ugly Heroes' 2013 classic self titled LP, Apollo Brown, Verbal Kent and Red Pill are back again with a new EP coming out August 19th. The new EP features five new songs (including a Murs feature) and 4 bonus track b-sides. Ugly Heroes will also being touring Europe for a few weeks this August, starting with the legendary Hip-Hop Kemp Festival before hitting London and a number of other spots (all the dates will soon be up on the MMG Event Calendar).
