His flow is on point. Doesn't feel forced or anything. Typical Hopsin subject matter. The end fucking ruined it for me. 5.5/10

I like Hopsin. I really do. At his core, he is a great rapper. When I say that, I mean his songs have good writing and flows. That's what he's good at. But he's only capable of one sound, and he's repetitive as they come. His subject matter is just lame. Literally--EVERYONE bags on him for talking about god and what not, and even though this song is about breaking away from his religion, it's still him talking about god. It's like he just slaps his fans in the face making a song about this.

And btw, what I mean about good writing--the part that stood out to me in this song was when he was basically saying that if god appeared, he would take all of what he is saying/doing back. In that part, the words he chooses and how he articulates his sentences is EXCELLENT.


It was alright. Same old Hopsin. The Ill Mind Series keeps getting worse and worse, and Hopsin continues to fade into obscurity.

I already had a little phase of questioning god at around age 17, like most people do. And it wasn't nearly as explosive and pointlessly angry as this was.

He takes shit into extremes because he's too immature to realize there's an in between. Being pissed off at god for not showing proof of himself is fucking stupid.

I'm 17, can confirm. I just took a World Religions class and a philosophy class and did some research. I was a bit of a "your religion is wrong" athiest when I was about 13, but I've just come to accept that people can believe whatever the fuck they want as long as they're not hurting anyone. Hell, they could even be right.

It's more than just "showing proof." It's that God demands your life be devoted to him, yet does nothing to provide a reason to do so other than consequences for not doing so. When you grow up devoting your life to something, then realize later in life that you may have wasted your time, you don't get to be upset? Sorry buddy, if you didn't do this as a teenager, you missed your chance to be mad at God?

For those that think that he's taking it to extremes, overreacting, blah blah blah... Has nobody considered that the yelling is simply an outward manifestation of what he feels inside? Do you actually believe he's running around yelling about his beef with God all day? People will look for anything to complain about, I guess.
