Em breathes through gills, so when they take him out of his aquarium and ask him to record he can't breathe. That's why he sounds like he's out of breath. It's actually really sad.

Way too influenced to me. I mean, I can't even think of other artists who have influenced Hopsin's work as his music sounds like it really only needed Eminem to develop in the way it has. Other great artists (including Eminem) are a blend of sorts of at least 5 obvious influences (Masta Ace, Rakim and Nas come to mind in regards to Em...Probably some Detroit horrorcore rappers in there as well). Denace is just much more guilty of it as he basically tries to re-do Eminem songs and copy his entire persona era to era. e.g., Eminem drops Relapse, Denace is all over poor horrorcore with an accent. Eminem drops Recovery, Denace is all over inspiring anthemic songs. I wouldn't accuse Hopsin of being as awful as Denace, he is much better, but that isn't a testament to the quality of his music by any means

I've said this from day one I think Hopsin is a great rapper in several categories of what I consider makes a great rapper but I agree with the above post, he seems to not have enough musical influences to create his own unique sound. On some songs it really stands out how much he emulates Em, sometimes not straight forwardly, whether intentional or not
