Has anything exciting happened in hip hop this year?

This sub-forum has been so dead for a while. All rap music that seems to be getting attention lately is made by females famous for boobs and asses rather than lyrics and flow. I don't care much, but... what's going on? 2012/13 were pretty good, this year just suuuucks. Mainstream, underground, not much good stuff. Am I wrong?

Really only couple of things I cared about were Oxymoron (dope album) some off of These Days (good album), Guts over Fear, and the new John Connor mix tapes. 2014 could have been something if the albums that were supposed to come out did. Still waiting on that Krit album for November though, potential Album of the year candidate there.

Also faces by Mac Miller was pretty good. The only game changer this year for me was Pinata. I haven't seen anybody talking about Big Krits album coming this year. Krit's about to drop a classic. I'd say the same for Yela if there was a release date on Love Story.
