Dre might actually use some of his older beats for the Straight Outta Compton soundtrack indeed 'cuz it'd definitely make more sense. As a matter of fact he might use ones he did way before he started to work on Detox or even ones he did before he started to work on The Chronic.

He doesn't release new material 'cuz he's perfectionist & is not completely happy with what he's got out there which is fucked up 'cuz any other producer/rapper would have released at least some of the material he's got stacked out there... Not to mention most producers/rappers would have released the majority of it.
