So, this is my 2000th post, so let's take a time out to appreciate the goat 2000 album.
Em on steroids, basically. In retrospective the tracklist looks more like a best song compilation than an album. Fucking perfect and classic album. Oh yeah, it also sold just 1.76 milions first week. As our lord and savior mr. West would put it: "this shit is... fucking ridicolous".
I said this is a double post special for my 2K right? Well... before this thread I had 1999 posts (and a stupid post ain't one). Think about it. The classic-est album among all classic albums was released in 1999, and it's called 2001 (looks complicated, hun?). Well, it's funny because this is my 2001th post.
After a few disappointing years it was general consesus that the D.R.E. had officially fell off. He hadn't. He blessed us all with THE West Coast album and with THE West Coast tour. Two among the best bangers of all time are on this album, and they are Still Dre and The Next Episode. Aside from that, the rest of the album is absolute flames from start to finish, and as the good Doc said: "it's like a movie". Some of the greatest beats ever are on here. Let me leave y'all with one of my favorites:
