Yeah they're great cause they're one of the few pure "spitters" that I feel the mainstream lacks nowadays (no kendrick isn't one, lmao) and if Capital Punishment was less glossy and focused more on the Hardcore side (and cut that awful sex skit) like Beware, You ain't a killer, Dream Shatterer, Tres Leches, Capital Punishment, Super Lyrical, Twinz, and I guess Still not a player for the singles, this coulda been seriously a monstrous album. And he like Big L came from an era of hardcore spitters who lived to just wreck the mic

And I admire that even if he wasn't as good of an artist as say the Biggie's, Kendricks, etc.

L also was great, I love his sandman freestyle. You could be an optimist and say he'd switch his styles and pull a camron and garner a decent fanbase and make a purple haze, or become a beanie sigel/memphis bleek rapper.

This Big L freestyle is my favorite, he's not as flashy as pun but more technical and put a lot of care into his word choice and syllable placement.

I run with intruders, looters, and sharpshooters who sparks rugers and fuck thick bitches with large hooters :blackmaninawegif:

And yeah I could see why Big Pun is a turn off to some, listening to some other non Capital Punishment songs, his voice is horrendous like literally terrible. He's pretty much like the opposite of Prodigy (Mobb Deep) the latter isn't as skilled but has a much more listenable voice, and I'd frankly take him tbh.

lol i never liked gza on clan albums but liquid swords is really a perfect storm example where RZA provides a perfect album. GZA sounds really good on just about every song.

why would anyone care about them
i mean
big pun didnt rely do anything but had good rhyming but thats not something that gets people interested enough to become a fan i suppose. He didnt do anything new, same for big l though he was good technically, allegedly, but i dont think being good at something everyone does to an extent without brining in something new attracts people.
some but few. Ive seen big punishers and big ls in several top 10 lists but they just lie. They dont really think they are top10, just to sound cool
