Yeah I know, just saying because everyone seems to be creaming over the thought of a Yela & Em 1 on 1.

With that said, Encore is a pretty dope album. Just the middle section is eh.

I think Em's 'acting' skills are severely unnoticed. What I mean by that is, his music videos, he really does a good job of 'bringing his lyrics to life' with the way he raps in sync with them on screen.

Like...something like "Rap God" or "Berzerk" looks like a comic book that jumped into real life, his acting really brings the lyrics forward for me. I guess you could say that about any of his videos. Meanwhile, someone like Kendrick who is lyrically top three in rap right now, shows little to no life in music videos - at least, it comes off that way to me.

It's just weird. I think part of the reason why I love Em's videos so much is cuz it looks like he puts an effort into personifying his lyrics.

I agree! That's why I love the monster music video so much. Didn't like the song before that.

I do think it works for the music, I just feel certain songs could only be improved with his more mature sounding voice. For instance I think Rock Bottom would be better. I already think its amazing, I just think it would be better with the change in voice.

Fair enough, not sure how I'd like songs like "Rock Bottom" with a deeper voice (I'm assuming that's what you mean). I think for me the impact would be all the same.

His voice on "97 Bonnie & Clyde" and like..."If I Had" are so scrunchy. That's the only word I can think of to describe it, lol.

I completely agree, his acting skills in the way he raps and the way he presents himself in music videos is pretty amazing. Thats why Ive always felt hes had some of the best rap videos, they're just oozing with so much personality.


Yeah that was what i meant. To each his own really haha. It's still very impactful, but his voice on SSLP is almost cartoonish in many areas. I just feel the more serious songs would have benefited from a different delivery.
