I admit, I got way to much in the hype and was aying dumb shit about how Logic had best album this year and his album was close to GKMC. But now after a few weeks I realize he bit too many people too obviously and that his album is good but tbh nothing really special.

It's ok, but you should keep in mind that singles are usually never the best songs in an album. For most rappers, at least.

at this point ive listened to all his music n i like some of it, it just doesnt seem like my thing (the older music) but i really loved radioactive n bought that the day it came out physical copy and till its gone kicks ass

Why I listen to a few projects from an artists before I judge their music.

That's usually the reason why some people on here dislike Yela. They've only heard one or two of his more mainstream songs max (or maybe Radioactive once or twice), and use that as a basis to judge his music, when he's really better and more artistic than most of their favorite rappers.

You should listen to Trunk Muzik Returns, Trunk Muzik 0-60, Pyscho White or Slumdon Bridge. I would also recommend Arena Rap and Stereo, but you really need to get to know Yela as an artist and have an open mind on experimental music before you take on those projects.

I hate half of what Yela does. I love the other half. I believe Yelawolf is an acquired taste as It took me a while to appreciate his work. I started with Trunk Music 0-60 and disliked it at first. Now I love it. Listening to it high is recommended. I think that Trunk Music Returns is his best work, and It's his only project that I can listen straight through. Couldn't care for anything before the original Trunk Music, or the Travis Barker\Ed Sheeran\DJ Paul stuff. Radioactive has some descent moments.

It's all about what you like. I have always been into hip hop music and never really left the genre, so obviously I'm not going to enjoy his rock inspired music very much. Others here prefer the rock inspired stuff. It's all a matter of preference. If you listen through his entire catalog, I guarantee you will find a lot of stuff you like...it may just be spread out across different projects.

To say the man sucks though is a little ignorant. Art is subjective. If you don't like it, move on. I don't understand what people see in MGK\Mac Miller\T Swift\Watsky\Weezy\Kanye\etc (I could go all day)...but if people like it, more power to them.
