Eminem rapping about punching a woman in the face, people are cool with it, whatever right? ok now, let's say it was a black rapper, idk who's popular right now? uhh, it may work for Young Thug cuz i mean, nobody can tell what the fuck he's saying 90% of the time anyways, but, say it's somebody like Rick Ross, he already got alot of shit for rapping about puttin a roofi in a girls drink, which, was laughable compared to Eminem rapping about raping his own mother.

And then you have the Build a bear line, again, give that line to a black rapper such as Rick Ross, people are going to flip and say Rick Ross is a scum bag and it's gonna cost him alot of deals with whatever clothing lines he's with or whatever, but Eminem says it and he get's a pass?

Honestly i'm tired of seeing people stick up for Eminem and say it's ok for him to get away with the shit he gets away with but when other rappers say something alot less controversail it becomes a major news story and labels go ape shit crazy and canel shit and whatever, it aint right, yeah, Eminem is a future legend, the dude had alot of talent and put out a couple hot albums, but that shouldn't mean he can get away with more shit.

the stans on this site, as well as twitter, are beyond annoying, making it as if Eminem should have more privilages than other rappers, and be treated differently.

Eminem got plenty of heat, but he won the war by refusing to back down and making an argument as to why he wouldn't through his music. His label didn't drop him because they bet on his talent. And he was brilliant enough to capture a sufficiently large fan base to justify that decision. And from then on it's all business ... why would sponsors drop him when they can turn a profit by not dropping him?

Nah if anyone came out and said this i would defend them. Though i would agree if someone like kayne west said it would be alot worse in media back lash but i dont think its because hes white its more just because eminem is in the spot light alot less now and keeps to him self. Where kanye and others not so much.

True but, he does get a pass sometimes cause he's white. But at the same time, he doesn't because the media seems to think that Em is the only rapper whose lyrics are homophobic and misogynistic but it's like they expect black rappers to be ignorant of social issues, so it's like they're saying "you're white, we expect you to be better than these...animals. " Idk, just my opinion.

My argument makes perfect sense

Eminem rapped about raping his mother, killing his wife, and all sorts of other crazy shit and wasn't forced to change anything and won a ton of awards

Rick Ross raps about putting a roofi in a drink and loses a shoe deal, everybody goes ape shit, and he's forced to change the lyric or whatever happened with the song,

Eminem get's a pass for way to much and his fans see nothing wrong with it,
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another example of white privilage vs black privilage, Stone Cold Steve Austin beat his wife, did his career end? no, in fact he still sold millions of merch, headlined ppv events, and now has his own podcast.

Chris Brown beats Rihanna and goes thru HELL for years trying to get his career back, Ray Rice KO's his wife, NFL fires him,

White celeb beat his wife and is still beloved, black guy beats girlfriend/wife and everybody damns them to hell

Perhaps they don't criticise because hip-hop is primarily a black genre and they don't want to seem racist. I don't know.

"can get away with more shit."

Lol, man, you're a fan of Eminem, after so long you have to understand that these rhymes and all this controversy is the result of a character.

If Eminem beats a woman will be repudiated, if the alter ego of Eminem (Shady) says something that is generate -and its generate - controversy, no one is going to shock the same way that a case of genre violence because is a fucking character ...

I agree. My dad (avid nascar fan since i was a baby) was shocked af when he heard that line. Haha. I loved it tbh. Im just too desensitized to think shit like that is offensive. But it really can hit certain folk
