Hey everyone, first off, let me begin by saying I'm sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum (if it is, mods please move it for me, thanks!)
Now then, I've noticed something about SHADYXV that may be detrimental to sales - on iTunes, and presumably other online music selling websites, SHADYXV is marked as a production by "Various Artists." I feel as though the lack of a big name like Eminem being blatantly visible on the album may lead to lower sale counts. The average iTunes user probably sees this black album with a mask on it and have no clue who made the album since it's made by "Various Artists," and therefore doesn't even bother checking it out. The album cover doesn't even say "SHADYXV" on it, and I feel like this lack of self-promotion on the album itself, especially online, may lead to much lower sales than Shady Records deserves.
It's currently only #14 on iTunes, which is pretty pathetic for such an amazing album if you ask me. It would be WAY higher if it just said by "Eminem" even though I know it isn't just him...
