That review was brutal. I honestly can't even argue with the points he made though. It wasn't like some troll who just focused on the Homophobia or sexism or whatever. His primary criticisms are on the delivery and the content, and he's right. Em's flow is way off the mark these days and his content is repetitive. That said, I still find his records enjoyable. The technical ability is still there, and in some ways is the only thing he's actually gotten better at through the years. One day, Em will find a way to cram 300 syllables into a 4 bar measure. That's admirable and technically amazing, so If he chooses to do it in song # 5,000 about how much he hates women, with a delivery that's forced, I can deal with it.

What I find ridiculous about the review are the positive remarks. The author gives Eminem credit for being "self-aware" at times. Yeah, it doesn't take talent to make nearly every syllable of a verse serve a purpose by either being wordplay or being part of a rhyme scheme...but it takes a shit load of talent to be aware of yourself. It takes a shit load of talent to read about yourself online, too.
