Once again opinion bro, I listen to The Eminem Show more but only because I've played the earlier albums to a state beyond death. The earlier albums are incredible, both very different but if you seriously claim the albums are not classics, then I simply don't believe you.

I like the idea and i think encore is ok. The reason people says it sucks is probably because its nowhere close to being as good as his 1st two albums.

Eminem's first 3 albums (well, SSLP, MMLP and TES) were in the Rolling Stone's (the magazine, not the band lol) best 500 albums of all time list, and like 90-95% of those albums were made before 1995... I mean, Rolling Stone doesn't decides if an album is great or not, it's all a matter of opinion, but still, I think it's fair to say those albums can be considered among the best albums ever made... here's the list for those interested to see it:

http://www.rockonthenet.com/archive/2003/rs500albums1.htm

SSLP is like 273 or something, and the other 2 are in the early 300s... try to look for albums made after 2000 (original albums, not greatest hits or compilation) you won't see a lot lol

Slim Shady LP is not classic.

Classic is albums like Ready to die, Mecca and the soul brother, Let the rhythm hit em.
MMLP, classic for its impact, but im going to be completely honest with what i think and i think the album just sounded fake, every emotion, every word he said was exagerated hatred and drugs mixed with ego. Eminem show is by the far a more balanced, down to earth, lyrical, and solid album.

as tr said its all about opinion

asp i dont think you can jus simply state that sslp is not a classic or say encore is not a good album as it IS all about opinion.....my opinion, i don't like encore as much as the other 3 but its still a good album compared to most retail shit released

id say opinion comes down when your discussing a artists best album, thats opinion

but when it comes to classic albums ect. there's a line were your opinion should get some common sense

although, SSLP was a landmark in hip hop at the time, and it will get remembered for that, btu i dont think its a classic hip hop album, although i think MMLP and Eminem show are classic

As many people said this before... different people have different viewz.... I like all the 4 albums namely, Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show & Encore.... Encore was ma first Eminem album and I liked it a lot.... its not as bad as people keep said.... I think its a great album... I like all the songs from the album.... I found Yellow Brick Road a lil' bit boring but now I like that song as well....

I think that we are conducting this discussion in the wrong thread... the thread this about "New Eminem Album Information Page", remember??? Good Work TR.... that would be really helpfull :) thanks and keep the good work up :y:
