I think he's referring to eminem's new song "When I'm Gone". It definately seems this would be a good parting song for Em, but then who knows...he may be ending one of his personas (Eminem Show, Encore, and the new Curtain Call share a smiliar theme).

i know what u mean man, fuck life would suck without eminem, i dont know what i would have done without him. u think of 2pac and all the sick ass song hes done, and how he died at 25, and u think of a 33 or so year old eminem and how much he could make himself if he really wanted 2. its a shame, but thining positively im just hopin this aint a retirement. the only thing that worries me is the fact that he has enough money. someone needs 2 rob him

Whatever Eminem's doing, I doubt he will stop rapping. I'm sure he loves it. If he becomes a producer, I'm sure he'll feature in many of the tracks he produces. There's also D12, which I'm sure is not going away.

I believe he is just killing one of his personas. Could be the Slim Shady one cuz in the song he says Shady is rock-a-by-baby. Could also be the one he established with the Eminem Show CD, since it is Curtain Call.

TrueEmFan, you are very right...
Just for him to make songs and OCASIONALLY be on TV and on magazines, that would be enough. I think that if he retires, I will no longer listen to rap...ever...He was that one person that made me like rap, and actualy see 'nother side of rap other that money and cars and hoes and whatever, but about true life issues.
Eminem, I will ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Keep that in mind

you no this song would definatly allude to him quitting but i was kind of expecting it with an album called curtain call, and all the skits about him killing himself at amt3. IDK it could be getting rid of a persona, but it would definatly appear that he is done as a solo artist. BUT there still are more songs to come, so i guess we will have to see, but keep in mind we will get to see em on at least obie and dres album, maby more wit trick, 50, busta, and evem but who really knows.

i don't have heard the song when i'm gone from him, but that he gonna retiring i don't know it.maybe he gonna stop for a while and go producing for other stars, and it means nothing that he brings that album out, many artists bringing a greatest hits album out and they make after that still albums.we shall wait and see what he does.nothing heard that he gonna retired soon.

i hope having the whole album with give us further insite into what he is really thinking. Its just weird its like he has been dropping clues since encore, i do think that he will make at least 1 more solo album, and will continue to work wit d-12, or at least you would think. Although i wouldnt be terrible suprised to see if this was all just a publicity stunt to get everyone riled up. Just weird that he would release a CD called CURTIAN CALL a few months after encore.

Guys i think some of you (TruEmFan) need to get a grasp on fuckin reality - we all have shitty lives (well i do) but dnt take this to a Stan level..fuckit I love Marshall just as much but let him be a dad to Hailey ..he doesnt want her to have the same childhood as he (or for that matter some of us do) growin up with a dad that's never there and a mom who's a bitch??

So you want Marshall to keep going and sacrifice Haile's childhood to help you through ur shit - i think that pretty fuckin selfish to say the least.
