and about that lil string melody between verses, it sounds like: "C# D# E D# C# C#" (the last C# being the hits at the beginning of the following verse)

keep it up

edit: about the main instrument, I hear something that sounds like an electric guitar, but it also sounds like an harspichord... so maybe they mixed an electric guitar sound with an harspichord I don't know :sweating:

thanks mart. I needed those notes. and the sounds.. I used a kind of 808 kick as the bass drum do you have any idea of a type a kick that would work better?

did you add any bass? or is the bass coming from that 808 kick? cause I just realized that your remake doesn't seem to have the bassline from the original

the bass line comes in at around 0:30 in the original, and the kick comes in at around 0:50...

the "non-808" kick you used sounded good I think... maybe you should just get rid of that 808 kick, and add the bassline instead... the bassline is quite simple it's always C# C# C# C# C# C# C# C#-B-C# (the last C# is the first one of the following bar)... the "B" might be a "C" tho, it's hard to tell... the more I listen to it, the more I think it's a C... but whatever, it's not extremly important lol

lmao thanks man :flower: I wish your kids grow up to be like me too :) lol jk

seriously tho, that type of stuff might be one of my strong points, but like everything, with practise you get better, and you'll realize it's not that hard, you just need to mess around

but I still have a loooooooooooooot to learn, it's unbelievable... everytime I read books or articles about music theory I'm like: damn, I'm just a beginner :( lol... altho to be honest, for "popular music" (rap, rock, pop, techno etc...) you don't necessarily need a lot of knowledge about music theory... it's for jazz, and classical music and stuff like that that you need a little more knowledge :sweating:

ah yeah i used the 808 for the bass cuz i wasn't sure of the bass line. it really is amazing how you know all this stuff. lol :p

and all the others thanks again. I'll upload the newer version with a better sounding intro later and it'll have some of the other problems fixed.
