The hit movie ‘Wanted’ recently came out staring Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and new comer James McAvoy. According to Eminem’s long-time manager and Shady Records / Goliath Artists head honcho, Paul Rosenberg, the movie is based on a comic book of the same name created by Mark Millar in 2004. The comic book became very popular and eventually the creator started going around Hollywood saying he had Eminem attached to play the lead role in the film. As you can see by the pictures below, the main character was even drawn to look exactly like Eminem.
Since the creator of the comic not only lied about Eminem being attached but didn’t even run it by Eminem’s people, his camp didn’t consider the project anymore. An article on IGN explains the situation pretty well [read here], except for the fact that Eminem was ever a possible option to play the role, as Rosenberg says. Paul Rosenberg goes on to say “Next time guys how about a quick convo, e-mail, or whatever laying out the plan. It might actually work if people aren't so put-off by your methods.”
