also yeh, pretty basic, theres alota tutorials out there that can help you if your motivated to get good, keep at it
best to watch the videos explaining every feature so you can take advantage of Fls powerful tools. Im using FL 7
Nu Syd wrote:oh ok, well, each layer , in the playlist, if you made your drums on layer 1 etc, the playlist box ( i hope its the playlist im talkin about hahaha, i havent made shit in months @_@, yeh it is ) , just drag the mouse to the right, more boxes the longer the pattern gets.
( at the top, u see pattern/song, make sure its on song, when making your beat longer )
for maximum control, dont make everything on same layer, do drums on layer 1, melody on layer 2, chorus melody on layer 3 and so on.
Also the piano roll is your best friend, unlimited control for originality , mess around with the piano roll to create your own melodys.

Hadez wrote:you need to get better sounds. i'm assuming that since you just got the program and just started that you're using the sounds that came with the program. make a search for better quality sounds.
about the patterns themselves, in your third edit the melody is too random sounding. as for the drums, don't have the snare occur that often. it kinda messes up the pattern in my opinion and makes kind of an awkward timing.
since you just started there is definately room to improve. keep at it though.

now just make it longer
I'm not joking either, make it longer so I can have it
Xray wrote:pretty decent since your new at this, its not random to me. drums are nice, melody is pretty good too, i like it man, i like non fancy beats
