recording equipment question..

i was just wondering what kind of recording equipment everybody uses.. i want something that gives studio quality sound. i also wanted to know how much it would cost for something nice.

I use an Audio Technica 2020 mic...and i use a Tascom phantom power/preamp

all together it was 350 i think
