New at Mixing

What up, I wanna start mixing but I don't know shit. what are a couple things that I need to know to get started? thanks

here's the best advice i've ever gotten...

First, do what you think is needed, don't use presets, cause all recordings are different. So in short, I use EQ when it's necessary not necessarily all the time.

Second, don't over do it with the FX. The way I know when I've overdone FX, is if I can easily hear the FX on speakers without concentrating on hearing it then I've over done it.

Third, If it doesn't work, don't force it.
