Curtain Call Theory

Postby Knicky » Nov 30th, '05, 19:11

Hey All, I read this idea in a british magazine, it said something like 'The albums songs are not in chronological order as this would display Eminems waining powers' it made me think that its quite true, as (personally) I think eminem peaked at 'the marshall mathers Lp' and 'The eminem show' and Encore was a bit of a step down, you think Curtain Call would show ems steady decline (in released singles anyway) if the tracks were listed chronalogicaly or am i alone in thinking this?

encore gets alot of stick.....some of it well deserved but....

it really wasnt that bad.Ok to eminems standards it was below par.....with success comes the every need to out do your self.....perfect example:

Michael jackson's success with the 'thriller' album.Ever since every think he does musically is judged upon that album. As the album had done so well its almost impossible for either michael or anyone out do that album.

You see what i mean?

What im trying to say is encore is only seen as weak cause people judge it by comparing it to more successful albums of em's.

When you listen to the tracks they aint that bad.Like puke, ricky ticky tock, tou soldiers, mocking bird, crazy in love.....all them tracks had great beats and some good lyrics.

I agree that eminem should consider dropping the habit of aiming his music to 8 - 13 year olds who laugh at the funny tracks and start making serious music.

Just my two pennies...

Intresting thoughts though dude :worship:

very true... funny how you used MJ as a comparison though...

but yeah, encore went multi platinum and people thought em fell off. i mean, honestly... how is that falling off? oh yeah, 8 million people bought my record... i really failed this time.

i agree with both of u
its true i don consider encore a faliure cuz look at all the records it sold, sure it wasn't em;s best but it was still better than all the other albums that came out at that time

I think that Eminem is not going to be retired...I think this is all a stunt kinda of act...He will not release somethin in 1 or 2 years...then all of a sudden release a Album that will be #1 for weeks and weeks, because no one suspected him to come back after 2 years.
