Slim Shady R.I.P.

I don't think anyone has done this before, but if it has, feel free to lock it up mods.

Now that it is absolutely confirmed Slim Shady is killed do you like his decision or not?

On one hand Eminem will probably no longer make any more songs like Puke and My 1st Single. However, it was Slim Shady who made him who he is today (The Real Slim Shady, and even the successful SSLP).

Personally, I don't mind Slim Shady. I think that side of him appeals to a certain group of his fans. It's sad to see his silly side go. And I'm still curious how D12 can possibly explain their name when now Em is going with only one persona

i voted no but im not gonna say anything cuz im not gonna think anything is "confirmed" untill eminem officialy says "Slim Shady Is No Longer In Me" or "I Killed The Slim Shady Persona" or something specific like that cuz i already explained thaton that eminem:live from new york he makes lil videos of him with a gun thinkin about suicide but than at the end when he actually pops the gun...the gun is fake so....its like he's sayin "okay im bout to kill the slim shady persona" but than he finds out that he cant its a metaphore its the slim shady persona tricking you guys to think he killed the slim shady persona so my oppinion is he's playing u guys for jokes but time tells all so we just gotta wait

for the record im just putting facts together u guys could be right but this is just what i think

The point about him killing f Slim Shady is that he cant be imature anymore.

I mean seriously, he is a grown ass man, it is no longer funny wen he try's to be imature(Just lose it).He needs to start doing serious thoughtfull music.
Besides his Real fans( the primary fans ) have already grown up and are now about 18-25, who crave for emotion and sense. This may also mean that he
might be more dedicated to Hip Hop, rather than to please 13 year old kids
with poppy singles.

I greet the idea, and am very pleased with Eminems decision, and definately wont miss Shady, that part of him had its good times but it is of no use anymore.

Slim Shady and being immature isn't bad at all. Imagine if all his albums were nothing but Marshall Mathers, Like Toy Soldiers and The Way I am. It simply wouldn't be good. Anyway, he got famous for doing songs like My Name Is and Just Lose It.

Em, Marshall and Slim have been on all of his albums from Slim Shady to Curtain Call, even Devils and World.

Im not persieving it as literal, im seing it as if Em is just growing a little more mature.

Many rappers make thoghtfull and senseible music and are still great.

Besides if Eminem wants to be GAOT he's gone have to conquer the heart of
hip-hop fans who, can't take the level of imaturity in music that is originally made to be political and teach streetknowledge.

I don't think he should've killed Shady, because it's kinda funny with songs like The Real Slim Shady. It doesn't get that serious with Shady beside Eminem and Marshall. But that's my opinion!

See he has a choice to get rid of shady to keep his older fans or keep the imature side of him and keep the new fans

Slim Shady ain't bad, but it's time for Eminem to grow up.. "Fack" is kind of Shady's songs and yeah.. let's say we all know it isn't his best :whistle:

for this moment I'd rather see him as Eminem or Marshall, cause Shady's time's out I think.. it's sad, cause I like Slim Shady persona, I'd miss it, but it makes him look like an idiot a lil bit..

so, yeah, RIP Slim Shady.. :'(

He did officially announce that the Slim Shady Persona was dead. It was on MTV's Curtain Call where he announced it was the end to Slim Shady (and in the credits it had R.I.P. Slim Shady).

Anyways it's still a really hard choice for me. I think I don't want to see Slim Shady go, but I want him to make better tracks (unlike the ones he's been making lately).

I think it's a wise choice to kill off an alter ego when it no longer fits you or becomes a burden to you, and I guess Slim Shady has become quite a burden to Marshall Mathers, or has been for a long time. And, frankly, I won't miss songs like Fack, that song's just :zipped:

what is these days everybody is a critic hes a great MC there is no denying that... half of these kids on here say he sucks hes making sucky music whe n they couldn't even make one track themselves,..
