Eminem Beats Out Biggie To Take #1 Spot

In this week's Hip-Hop charts, Eminem bangs out the competition, Biggie trails behind, and The Black Eyed Peas continue their reign.

Killin' the competition this week is Eminem, who snatched up the #3 spot. After massive radio and video airplay, Slim Shady continues to smash out the Hip-Hop charts with his greatest hits compilation Curtain Call. After 4 weeks on the charts, Em has banged out 1,381,896 units in total. His week-in numbers amount to 185,624.

Slipping down a spot to #4 this week is the Notorious B.I.G. Duets: The Final Chapter, is still battling out with Eminem this week after a close call last week. The catchy lead single, "Nasty Girl," continues to rotate the airwaves, and has brought the legendary Brooklynite 149,707 in sales this week. After just 2 weeks on the charts, Big Poppa has sold 588,814 copies in all.

Next up, The Black Eyed Peas still have the business on lock, sitting tight in the top ten at #9. After only 97,546 CDs sold this week, Monkey Business still managed to step up two spots on the charts from last week. Fergie's lumps have helped the group's latest LP to move 3,037,251 in sales, after an impressive 30 weeks on the charts.

On the come-up this week is Lil' Wayne, burnin' up the #13 seat. The Carter II has chopped up another 80,571 albums, bringing him to gold status. Not only has he jumped 10 slots from last week, but "Fireman" continues to heat up speakers everywhere, and is smokin' the club scene as well. After a well-done 4 weeks, The Carter II has smashed out 559,359 in total.

Not far behind, Ludacris and the DTP officials are rockin' the #17 spot. Ludacris Presents Disturbing Tha Peace has shifted a good 63,707 copies this week, and continues to rep with Field Mob and the lead single, "Georgia." The album has brought in a total of 323,623 after 3 weeks on the Hip-Hop charts.

Not too far down is 50 Cent's soundtrack to Get Rich or Die Tryin'. The album stands at the #25 spot pushing 54,816 units this week. After 8 weeks on the charts the soundtrack is bathing in platinum status, selling a total of 1,103,354 copies.

Right behind is Kanye West, who is makin' the #26 spot hot this week. After 18 weeks on the charts Late Registration, has sold a total of 2,413,580 CDs. This week, his sales slipped a bit, but he still rounded his digits off to 53,670. "Heard 'Em Say" continues to carry the torch for sales for the dropout, and can still be heard heavily on TV co-signing with his Pepsi commercial.

Trailing behind is Chamillionaire, competing with Ye at the #29 seat. So far, The Sound of Revenge has taken in a total of 371,647 after 6 weeks on the charts, and has moved 50,861 CDs this week, compared to 54,754 sold last week.

Reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee lands the #31 slot this week . The Spanish rep managed to move an additional 48,313 CDs this week, bringing his total sales stats to 238,112. Barrio Fino Endirecto has been on the charts for 3 weeks.

Motivated this week is Young Jeezy, who has climbed all the way to the #32 seat. Just last week, Jeezy was sitting far below at the #61 slot, but has impressively made moves, man-handling a total of 46,915 in sales this week. His latest single, "Trap Star," is receiving positive feedback, thuggin' out competition all over the TV and radio. After a successful 23 weeks, Jeezy has stomped out a total of 1,314,291 units.

Following close behind is Juelz Santana at the #34 spot. Still, "Oh Yes," continues to bang it out, and his week-in total for What the Game's Been Missing reads 46,759. After 6 weeks on the charts, the Dipset rep has managed to shed a total of 397,639 records, and has stepped it up from #63 last week. Quite notably, the Harlem cat is forcefully aiming for his first gold album ever.

Coming to a close Nelly sweats, and the Ying Yang Twins fall face-first. Nelly just can't seem to cover them grills, sitting at the #38 spot this week. His total digits for the week round off to 39,608, compared to 69,475 last week, bringing his total to 290,978 units sold after 6 weeks on the charts. Next up is the re-release of the Ying Yang Twins' album United States of Atlanta, debuting on the Hip-Hop charts this week at a disappointing #45. They sold 35,127 copies this week.

Next week look for Eminem and Biggie to continue to battle it out for the top seat.

I did wat i could to bring biggie to numer one spot.

I bought the duets 2 days ago :)
